Craig Ranch is built around the best park in the city. When the old Craig Ranch Golf Course closed, North Las Vegas spent four years turning the ground into Craig Ranch Regional Park, 170 acres that opened in October 2013 with a 65,000-square-foot skate park, lighted ballfields, three dog parks, community gardens, and the amphitheater that now hosts the city's biggest concerts.

The neighborhoods around the park mix established streets from the city's earlier growth with newer gated communities that arrived once the park did. Craig Road carries the daily life, groceries, schools, and a straight shot east to I-15 and the Nellis gates, while the park itself gives families a weekend anchor most suburbs would trade for.
